These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) explain the rules for using the OptimalCutter website and cutting optimisation tools (“Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. About OptimalCutter
The Service is operated under the brand name OptimalCutter. It is provided as a web-based tool to help plan cutting patterns for timber, metal, plastic and similar linear materials. It is intended as an aid to your own judgement, not a replacement for professional design or site checks.
2. Use of the Service
When using the Service you agree that you will not:
- Reverse-engineer, copy or redistribute the optimisation engine or code without permission.
- Use the Service for illegal, harmful, abusive or fraudulent activity.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload or compromise the website, servers or security.
3. Accuracy of Optimisation Results
The cutting optimisation tool generates patterns algorithmically based on the inputs you provide. While we aim for accuracy and minimal waste, the results are approximations. You must always check the patterns before cutting any material and ensure they are suitable for your project, tolerances, tooling and local safety rules. OptimalCutter is not responsible for incorrect inputs, mis-interpretation of outputs or cutting errors.
4. Availability of the Service
We may update, improve, suspend or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee continuous availability or that the Service will be free from errors or interruptions.
5. Intellectual Property
All code, algorithms, branding, layout, design and textual content on the site are owned by or licensed to OptimalCutter. You may not reproduce, republish or redistribute these materials without prior written permission, except where allowed by applicable law.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates third-party services such as analytics providers and advertising networks (for example Google AdSense). When interacting with those features, the terms and privacy policies of those third-party providers also apply.
7. Disclaimer
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranties or guarantees of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted or fit for any particular purpose.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OptimalCutter will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, including loss of materials, time, data or revenue arising out of or in connection with the use of the Service.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. If we make material changes we may update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are published indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the UK courts, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
